Away from the bustling, neon-lit metropolis of Tokyo, is Waltz – a humble record store tucked in the quiet residential area of Nakameguro.
Unlike most record stores - usually edgy, underground, and cool; owner Tsunoda Taro wanted to break away from the stereotypical “man-cave” look-and-feel.
With it’s open glass doors, wooden furniture and copious amount of natural light, Waltz is designed to be open and welcoming.
Even locating the store is meant to be part of the experience.
And we think it’s pretty damn charming.
Now catch the remaining films series that profile the city’s different stores, teasing out its identity and how it fits into the neighbourhood.
Shouts out to WALK3000 for producing this series!
